Cedric Maire

Cyber Security Consultant

Cedric works on secure communications technologies, specialising in meeting the needs of the humanitarian sector. He is currently working on a joint International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) - Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETHZ) project: “Secure Infrastructure for Humanitarian Organisations”, with our partners at Neutrality.

Cedric was awarded a bachelor’s degree from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) School of Computer and Communication Sciences in 2018. He then joined the Communication Systems master program with a specialization in Cyber Security for two semesters and switched to the EPFL-ETHZ Cyber Security Masters program as it opened its doors. His Masters thesis was a collaboration with (ICRC) and Neutrality to research and apply security by isolation in Virtual Private Network (VPN) software.

During 2018 and 2019 Cedric was an advisor and instructor for TechSpark Academy and taught the fundamentals of programming to kids between 9 and 16 during camps, workshops and on a weekly basis over the school semesters. During summer 2019 he spent 9 weeks as an intern in Bengaluru (India) working for Infosys Limited on developing machine learning algorithms to compute and predict over encrypted data.
