Nick Queffurus

Paralegal

Nick assists the Litigation team with AWO’s contentious and advisory practice. He is interested in protecting human rights in a digital age and the regulation of new technologies.

Prior to joining AWO, Nick worked in Leigh Day’s Employment and International departments. Before Leigh Day, he was a researcher at Leeds University Law School, collaborating with two cyberlaw professors on a project about Facebook’s content moderation policies and international law on freedom of expression, resulting in a published report.

Nick completed the MSc in African Studies at the University of Oxford. Supervised in the Oxford Internet Institute, his dissertation investigated the legal and democratic implications of Kenya’s data-driven politics, for which he conducted fieldwork in Nairobi. He holds a first-class law degree from Bristol University, with a year of study in Bordeaux.

He has volunteered at a migrant domestic worker NGO as well as carrying out pro bono work in his past employment and education.
